GMVA Board Members

Matt Beasley
Matt Beasley moved to The Woodlands in 1996 and graduated from
The Woodlands High School. Matt worked at The Woodlands Fire
Department until he enrolled into the police academy at the
University of Houston where he graduated with academic honors.
Matt entered into law enforcement in 2004 with the Precinct
Three Constable’s Office as a Woodlands patrol Deputy. In 2007,
Matt transferred to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and is
now assigned to Woodlands, District 6. Matt is newly married
to his wonderful wife Kelli and is a proud resident of Grogan’s
Mill. Matt looks forward to working with the residents of Grogan’s
Mill and the other board members.

Robbie Brundrett

Bruce Cunningham 
Bruce Cunningham has been a member of the GMVA Board since 2000
and has served as its president for several years. Currently
he works on the GMVA newsletter and Web site. Bruce has served
with the Woodlands Watch, Governance Committee, the RDRC, The
Woodlands CERT and graduated from the Woodlands Academy. He
is on his church's finance committee, a member and past president
of the Woodlands Cycling Club, he is also on the Board of theSouth
Montgomery Friends of the Library. Bruce works as a management
consultant and enjoys working out, bicycling, reading, travel,
theatre, cooking and wines. |

Virginia Dellinger

Virginia Dellinger has been on the GMVA Board since 1990 and has lived
in Grogan's Mill Village since 1982. She is retired and enjoys
duplicate bridge,
tennis, and traveling. Virginia is very proud of her two sets of twin
grandchildren.

Dana Denton 
Dana Denton has been a member of the GMVA Board since 1998 and
currently serves as its Vice President. Dana has lived in The
Woodlands since 1984, moving to Grogan's Mill in 1988. She worked
for 12 years as Convention Sales Manager for the Greater Houston
Convention & Visitors Bureau and then became a charter associate
of the Waterway Marriott in 2002, continuing her career in the
hospitality industry as the Marriott's Senior Catering Sales
Manager. Dana has previously served as both GMVA President and
Treasurer, but considers her greatest GMVA achievement is being
instrumental in the formation of the Grogan's Mill Farmer's
Market. Dana continues to serve as the Farmer's Market committee
chair. |

Pat Goodpastor 
Pat Goodpastor has been on the GMVA Board since March 2006,
serving as President in 1997 and 1998, and currently serves
as Secretary. She has lived in Grogan's Mill Village for 29
years and has raised two children here. Pat served 6 years as
a WCA director. She is a 1997 graduate of Leadership Montgomery
County and retired from Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital
where she was the Assistant Vice President of Patient Services
for 21 years. |

Bob Leilich 
Bob has been a member of the Grogan’s Mill Village Board
since August 2009 and currently serves as treasurer. He has
been active in auditing and formalizing its financial policies,
representing the GMVA at various community activities, and
monitoring issues related to proposed new flood plain maps
which may affect up to 400 homes in Grogan’s Mill Village.
He has degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management,
and post graduate education in Transportation Economics from
Purdue and Yale Universities. He is a retired transportation
consultant. He and his wife, Joann, moved from Northern Virginia
to Grogan’s Point in 2006 to be closer to their son’s family. |

Franklin Palmer 
Franklin Palmer has been a member of the Grogan’s Mill Village
Association since February 2005 and has lived in Grogan’s
mill Village since 1995. He served as chairman of the Residential
Design and Review Committee RDRC for several years and is
the Area coordinator and neighborhood coordinator for The
Woodlands Watch. He is a mine owner in New Mexico, has been
a Deputy Sheriff, Owner Operiator (trucking), and was a Beverage
Manager. He enjoys flying and has quite a knowledge of the
Stock Market. Franklin has been commended for exceptional
service by the Covenant Administration and Neighborhood services.

Bill Sargent
It is with great sadness that the GMVA announces the recent
passing of Bill Sargent.
Bill Sargent moved to the Woodlands in March of 1975, about
5 months after the Woodlands opened. He has served as First
President of the Grogan's Mill Village Association; Original
member of the Grogan's Mill Residential Design Review Committee;
organizing director of The Woodlands Villager; member and/or
chair of a number of WCA Resident Advisory Committees (
Finance, Audit, Repayments ); chaired GMVA committee on
Transportation ( which defined and implemented the Resident
Driver Van Service concept implemented by The Woodlands
Development Corporation ). Bill's background includes a
Ph.D. in Business Administration ( Marketing and Logistics
), and experience in Academic teaching, research, consulting,
and industry.

Deborah Sargeant 
Deborah Sargeant, a homeowner in The Woodlands since 1981
and a resident since 1995, is the current President of Grogan's
Mill Village Association.
Ms. Sargeant is the current Chairperson on the Development
Standards Committee, and has served on the Development Standards
Committee for the past eight years. She served in several
leadership positions on the Joint Budget Committee, The
Woodlands Community Association Finance Committee, Appraisal
Review Board, Joint Audit Committee, Joint Law Enforcement
Committee, Joint Ad Hoc Cost Recovery Committee and the
Board Operations Committee on the Woodlands Community Association.
Deborah also served as First Vice President, Second Vice
President, Treasurer and Secretary on the WCA Board of Directors.
Deborah has served as the Treasurer on the Executive Board
of Directors for the South Montgomery County Chamber of
Commerce. Ms. Sargeant is a past president of The Woodlands
Toastmasters, past Board Member of The American Business
Women's Association and past Treasurer for Business Women's
Forum. Deborah is the current Community Relations Chairperson
on the Montgomery County League of Women Voter's Board of
Directors. She is a 1998 graduate of Leadership Montgomery
County. Ms. Sargeant is the recipient of the 1999 Sam Walton
Business Leader Award and the NHMCCD 2002 Small Business
of The Year award.

Jim Upham 
Jim Upham has been a member of the GMVA board since 2006. Jim
was born and raised in the State of Iowa. Upon graduation from
High School, he served in the US Air Force as a Russian Linguist.
After his discharge he attended Iowa State University and graduated
with a degree in Industrial Administration and Accounting. Jim
met his wife, Anne, while at Iowa State. He accepted a position
in International Accounting and Finance with Union Carbide Corporation
and spent the next several years living and working abroad.
Upon their return to the states, Jim joined Anadarko Petroleum
and remained there until his retirement in January 2000. He
works as an Income Tax Preparer during the Tax Season. Jim and
Anne moved to their present home in Glen Mill in August 1980.

George Van Horn
George Van Horn has been a member of the GMVA board since
2010. He serves as the GMVA's representative to The Woodlands
Townships Law Enforcement Advisory. Geroge represents Grogan's
Mill Village residents to The Township Board and other officials
in the community. |

Jennifer Robinson 
Jennifer Robinson is the Webmaster of the Grogan's Mill
Village Web site. She lived in Grogan's Mill Village for five
years with her husband and children. Unfortunately, Jennifer
moved away from Grogan's Mill and misses it, but is glad she
can still be involved through the Web site. |
