| Come to
the GMVA Wine and Cheese Party
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Grogan's Mill Village Association will
hold a free "vino e formaggio" (wine and
cheese) party on Thursday, June 11, from 5:30 till
7 PM. It will be held in the GM shopping center under
the eaves in the area between the Morena Martial
Arts Institute and Village Nails. We want you to come
and meet new people, have some fun, and find
out what is going on in the community. Our system
of local government is changing and your village association
is going to be your direct representative to The Woodlands
Township government. While you are invited to
just show up, we would appreciate it if you would
let us know if you are interested so we
can estimate the head count. Please
let us know at party@gmva.org. We
will send you a reminder.
| Revised
Bylaws Approved
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The GMVA approved the Revised Bylaws at the
May meeting of the Board. The Bylaws are posted
on our website at www.grogansmillvillage.com.
Two changes in Board positions were also made at the
same May meeting. Nick Ransford, who has served
as Area Representative for the past three years tendered
his resignation from the Board. Nick has been
a tremendous help in so many ways to the Board, especially
as our liaison with the Merchant's Association
at the Grogan's Mill Village Center. We
will certainly miss seeing Nick on a regular
basis, but are glad that he will remain as one of
our volunteers for future events. Bob Leilich,
who has already volunteered numerous times for
GMVA projects and events, was elected unanimously to
replace Nick on the Board. Also elected unanimously
to a new position on the GMVA Board is our immediate
past-President, Bruce Cunningham. Bruce will
serve as Vice President of Governmental Affairs, and
as such will represent GMVA and our resident's interests
to The Woodlands Township.
