The
Woodlands Township Board Candidate Forum ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The League of Women Voters will hold a Forum for candidates
in The Woodlands Township Election on April 19th, 7
PM at McCulloch Junior High School. If you are frustrated
with politics and what is happening this is an opportunity
to find out first hand what the candidates stand for
and how they match with your values. Put this on your

Earth
Day - We Need Your Help to Win - Please Click on the
Link ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Earth Day is Saturday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 3
p.m. at The Woodlands High School. More than 70 booths
and activities will spotlight nature, eco-trends and
resource conservation. Displays with live snakes,
butterflies and tortoises will provide hands-on experiences
with wildlife. An online contest is being held related
to using recyclable bags. The village with the most
contestants will win $500. We need your help to earn
this money, please visit the questionaire about reusable
bags.

Road Closures on May 1st for CB&I Triathlon
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The CB & I TRI - The Woodlands Triathlon is set to
take place Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Northshore Park.
Please be aware that roads will be affected along
Research Forest Drive through The Woodlands Town Center,
Lake Woodlands Drive and Woodlands Parkway. The outside
lanes will be closed for the bike and run routes from
5:30 - 10:30 a.m.

Are
You Registered to Vote?
~~~~~~~~
To vote in The Woodlands Township election you must
be a citizen and registered voter. If you are not registered
you can obtain a voter registration card at the information
center (by the Cru wine bar) in Town Center or by contacting
the elections office at this web site http://www.co.montgomery.tx.us/ELECTION/faq.shtml.
If you are over 65, disabled or anticipate being outside
the county on May 8th you can get an absentee ballot
from that site.

Spring
Farmer's Market Opened April 3rd ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Grogan's Mill Farmer's Market has returned to the
Grogan Mill Village Center for its spring season. The
Farmer's Market will be open from 8 AM to 12 Noon each
Saturday morning until June 26th. We had 25 vendors
and will have more in the coming weeks. All who visited
said that it was by far the best market we have had
and one of the best they have been to. There are a number
of new vendors and many alternative sources of fruits,
begetable, eggs, chicken, beef, pork and other products.

Spring
Flea Market on April 17th ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The annual spring Flea market will be held on Saturday,
April 17th, at 7AM in the Pavilion Parking lot. If you
are interested in selling contact the Panther Creek
Village Association. Please note the earlier opening
time. The GMVA needs volunteers to help us at this event,
if you are willing to give it a try and meet some of

Concert
in the Park Series Returns ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Concert in the Park Series will return to Northshore
Park for the free spring series from 5:30 to 7:30
p.m. every Sunday from March 28 through April 25 and
again for summer concerts from June 6 through July
4. Among this season's performers are Cold Shot on
March 28; Jimmy Needham on April 4; Kyle Hutton Band
on April 11; Toast and Jam on April 18 and the Nigel
Edison Bank on April 25. The summer series will include
the Level One Band on June 6; Miss Leslie and her
Juke Jointers on June 13; Fab 5 on June 20; Patricia
Vonne on June 28 and Troy Hess& Texas Heartbreakers
on July 4th.
