Cul-de-sac Contest

Cul-de-sac Contest Entry Form

In Grogan's Mill we have over 200 cul-de-sacs. A few of them are known as super cul-de-sacs, which are generally found at the entrance to subdivisions and are maintained by the Community Association from your assessment dollars. The vast majority, such as those found at the end of streets, have been deeded to the county as part of the right-of-way, and are not maintained unless it is by the home owners on the street. While some of these cul-de-sacs are well maintained most are neglected and do nothing to improve home values - these are the ORPHANS.

The Grogan's Mill Village Association is asking residents to take action and get involved in long-term cul-de-sac maintenance programs. The association has established a Cul-De-Sac Revitalization Contest which will start this year and culminate in 2009. A prize of $100.00 will be awarded to the winning cul-de-sac. An entry form and brief guidelines for the contest are posted on the GMVA Web site. After an entry form is received the applicant will be contacted by a GMVA Representative to arrange a meeting.

If you have any ideas or questions about this project please submit them by email to: culdesac@gmva.org or submit them by mail to GMVA, PO Box 7522, The Woodlands, TX 77387-7522.
