Grogan's Mill Farmer's Market
Every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon in the Grogan's Mill shopping
center. The market will continue throughout the year, with the
exception of some holidays. The market features locally grown
vegetables, meats, bakery items, cheeses, eggs, honey, olive oil,
herbs, locally prepared foods from India, Asia, the Mediterranean
and South America
Interfaith Food Pantry Veggie Village
Garden will be located at the Alden Bridge Sports Park on SH 242
to provide food for the Interfaith Food Pantry. Volunteers needed
to assist with tending and harvesting as well as to deliver the
fresh produce to the Food Pantry. For more information, contact

The Gorilla Hole
Open the first and third Friday of each month from 7 to 9:45 p.m.
at The Woodlands Recreation Center. For 5th and 6th grade students,
a social program that provides kids a chance to play games, listen
to music and hang out in a safe and supervised environment. There
will be a professional disc jockey complete with a light show.
Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center
The Rink at The Woodlands will be open daily through Monday, January

Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition (TWRC) is recruiting volunteers
to train to be a rehabilitator. No previous experience is needed-just
the desire to help our area wildlife. We provide the training

Annual Arbor Day Celebration
Saturday, January 21 from 10 am - 2 pm in Rob Fleming Park in
The Woodlands' Village of Creekside Park. Lovable mascot of The
Woodlands, Puffy Pine Cone, will also celebrate his birthday at
this event along with the first annual "I Love Puffy" Day. Interpret
your favorite pine cone's outfit for his 6th birthday and receive
a free sandwich, chips and a drink at the event.

The Fifth Annual Muddy Trails Bash
Saturday, April 7, from 3 - 8 pm. The courses will wind through
the beautiful George Mitchell Nature Preserve, located on 1,700
acres adjacent to Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside
Park. Runners and walkers can participate in the chip-timed Muddy
Trails 5K or 10K trail races; kids can take part in the one-mile
Little Muddy Kids Fun Run. Also, the Second Annual Muddy Trails
5K-9 Fun Run allows participants to run with one four-legged furry
friend along the beautiful 5K course. All participants will receive
a T-shirt, and four-legged participants will receive a doggie
bandana.
The Ninth Annual CB&I TRI - The Woodlands
It is one of the premier multi-sports events in the region, scheduled
for Saturday, May 5, beginning at 7 am. Comprised of a 500-meter
open water swim in Lake Woodlands, a 15-mile bike ride throughout
The Woodlands and a 5 kilometer run, the race is a USA Triathlon
(USAT) sanctioned race featuring a field of more than 1,000 participants.
The Seventh Annual Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas
Saturday, October 13
This USA Track and Field sanctioned and certified 10-mile race
winds throughout the master-planned community, beginning and ending
at Market Street in Town Center. Starting at 7 am, the children
will take to the streets in the Fifth Annual Memorial Hermann
One 4 Texas, a one-mile fun run with the 10-mile, 10 for Texas
race following at 7:30 am. The One 4 Texas Kids' Fun Run and the
10 for Texas will be capped at 225 and 2,500 respectively.
